We are a fast-moving startup backed by Protagonist, A* Capital, ex/ante, and angels who have built and invested in billion dollar businesses. We believe that all users online should be able to link any account to any other; taking their context and data with them. We’re building the infrastructure to make this possible.
We are based in-person in San Francisco, with team members coming into the office 4+/week.
You will be joining the founding team at Bruinen and report directly to the CEO (also an engineer). You’ll be responsible to bringing features from idea to production, including system architecture, frontend, backend, and database work; as well as delegating and working with other engineers.
As an early team member, you will also help us define the culture of the engineering team and Bruinen itself. You’ll instill good practices, build strong foundations, and bring your own flare to the codebase.
You’ll touch many parts of the product — from maintaining our open-source libraries, to standing up vector databases. And you’ll also have the autonomy to choose the right tools for the job.
